Scenes from our Scenes in based in Chicago and aims to explore the city through music, focusing both on the local scene and artists visiting the city on tour. No artist is too small to cover and no genre is off limits. This blog is driven by curiosity and love for music.

Meet the Editor

My name is Hannah, I started going to house shows with my camera and loved documenting the scene. Since it's inception, Scenes from our Scenes has been my passion project and has been a one-man team. From taking photos, interviewing artists, to website building, to writing articles, this blog has been a chance for me to explore the music and artists I love, while learning more about music journalism and the industry.

History

Founded in West Lafayette, Indiana in April 2023, Scenes from our Scene covered the local music scene, providing a community hub for sharing shows, new releases, and creating a directory to document the scene. To this day, I'm still deeply proud of the scene there and honored I was able to help it develop. In May 2024, Scenes moved to Chicago.
